Meet Deandre

Deandre is a seal point girl, she is robust and strong, we decided to keep her name the same because she had been used to that name before we became her proud slaves, it comes from her pedigree name of Druidsway Deandre. We figured that it would be altogether less stressfull if we kept things simple, this was one way of reducing confusion to her when she came to live with us. She is very much Maria's cat, she worships Maria and is her constant companion, she loves to play and will occasionally retrieve toys when we throw them for her, she has often been heard dragging toys around the house with the elastic and stick still attached at a time in the small hours when we really wish she wouldn't. Her temperament is wonderful and eye colour second to none. Deandre was taken to show once at the Manchester and District CC show in 2006 but we found that she didn't like it, she started to get distressed so we asked the show manager if she could be excused, the duty vet agreed and the rest is history. It was a shame at the time because it would have been nice to see a judges critique but the welfare of Deandre came first. Her favourite toys are the type that are furry and are attached by elastic to a stick and also the little toy mice that rattle when you shake them, she often walks proudly around and growls at the others in a playful way if their eyes meet. This is a picture of Deandre at six months old which beautifully illustrates her stunning eye colour.
